Design firm opens second office in Dallas to be led by Jackson

Boutique interior architectural design firm Hospitality Design Guild (HDG) is excited to announce that Amanda Jackson has joined the firm as managing director of the newly established Dallas studio. The respected industry veteran with deep ties to the Dallas area brings over 20 years of design and hospitality experience, joining HDG’s expanding guild of talented collaborators specializing in commercial, hospitality and residential design. In her new role, Jackson will coordinate and manage projects throughout the United States, Caribbean and Latin America from the new office, and will also represent HDG at a host of industry events across the country, including the recently held Lodging Conference in Phoenix.

A registered interior designer, Jackson built her career with some of the most lauded firms in hospitality design, including Forrest Perkins, Flick Mars, and Wilson Associates. She has worked on well-known properties on both coasts and in between for such brands as Four Seasons, Fairmont and Hilton, as well as a host of boutique, historic and adaptive reuse properties.

She joins her longtime friend and HDG co-founder Katherine Cortese, helping to establish HDG’s presence in Texas and throughout the central and western United States.

“Katherine and I have not only been good friends for years, we’ve long been admirers of each other’s work and we have a shared philosophy of design and great service,” said Jackson. “I’m excited to bring my strengths to further round out this amazing team.”

Jackson is recognized throughout the industry for creating thoughtfully designed spaces and implementing creative solutions for each and every client. She has a true joy and passion for all things design and loves nothing more than helping others bring their concepts to fruition while showing them possibilities they never imagined.

“Amanda is not only an amazing talent, she’s an equally amazing person,” said Cortese. “With her incredible industry experience and knowledge of the Dallas market, she was exactly who we were looking for to lead this strategically important location.”
