This summer, Marriott International’s Luxury Collection will make its Dodecanese debut with the opening of Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Greece. Following an extensive renovation, the resort is set to reopen its doors on the golden sands of Grikos Bay in June, marking a new chapter for the island’s hospitality scene. Drawing inspiration from the island’s storied past, Patmos Aktis, will offer a tranquil, timeless escape whereby guests are invited to foster a deep connection with the sea and surrounding natural beauty.
Reimagined by Stylianidis Vaggelis Architects and Anastassiadis Architecture & Design, all 56 guestrooms, suites and villas have been renovated, with additional guestrooms to be added in 2025. Led by Patricia Anastassiadis, interiors will blend The Luxury Collection’s authentic and experiential design with Patmos Aktis’ essence of serene simplicity. A soothing and calming colour palette of creams, whites and soft blue tones will be visible throughout the resort, complemented by local artwork and traditional Greek craftsmanship to honour the island’s rich ancestry.
