Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) has announced the official opening of Hyatt’s 1,000th hotel worldwide, Alila Napa Valley in St. Helena, California, in addition to new properties in Europe such as Hôtel du Palais Biarritz, France, and Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle in Switzerland. Founder Jay Pritzker purchased the first Hyatt hotel in 1957 with a new vision for hospitality, built around people. Since then, Hyatt’s purpose to care for people so they can be their best has driven groundbreaking hotel designs, the award-winning World of Hyatt guest loyalty program and strategic brand acquisitions. Today, this milestone reinforces Hyatt’s continued commitment to intentional growth in places that matter most to guests, members, customers, and owners.

In addition to the expansion of Hyatt’s luxury lifestyle Alila brand portfolio with the brand’s second property in the Americas, Alila Napa Valley, Hyatt is increasing its footprint in Europe with new properties across the JdV by Hyatt brand with three openings expected in 2021: Story Hotel Riddargatan, Stockholm, Story Hotel Signalfabriken, Story Hotel Studio Malmö, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt with the planned opening of Hôtel du Palais Biarritz and Hyatt Centric with the planned Hyatt Centric Cambridge.

Planned 2021 Hyatt Property Opening Highlights in Europe
In 2021, Hyatt plans to welcome several properties to its portfolio in key global markets. Highlights across brands in Europe include: 

*Alila Hinu Bay (Salalah, Oman): Meaning “surprise” in Sanskrit, Alila describes what guests can expect from Alila Hinu Bay. This 112-room, one-of-a-kind property is set to open in April and is located on the southwest coast of Oman, offering guests seemingly endless stunning beachfront views. True to the Alila brand, the hotel has been built with respect to its natural surroundings, offering guests glimpses of Oman’s wildlife.
*Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle (Zurich, Switzerland): The first Hyatt Regency property in Switzerland, this 255-room hotel is located in convenient proximity to Zurich Airport, within The Circle, one of the largest conference venues in Switzerland. Offering a seamless connection between Zurich’s city centre and Zurich Airport, Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle offers guests meeting and event space, dining options to meet or relax at as well as fitness and recreation areas.
*Hôtel du Palais Biarritz (Biarritz, France): This former palace combines the most unique elements of the former Imperial Residence of Napoleon III with a modern hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and will join the Unbound Collection by Hyatt this year. This 139-room hotel boasts meeting facilities as well as amenities which are befitting of the former Imperial residence, built in 1854. This iconic hotel offers guest a glimpse into the past and extraordinary, memorable experiences.
*Story Hotel Riddargatan, Stockholm (Stockholm, Sweden): Joining the JdV by Hyatt brand, Story Hotel Riddargatan is as modern, stylish hotel centrally located in the Östermalm area with easy access to vibrant neighbourhood restaurants, cafés and bars as well as the high-end shopping district.
*Story Hotel Signalfabriken (Stockholm, Sweden): Also joining the JdV by Hyatt brand, this unique hotel is a listed property in Sundbyberg’s Torg neighbourhood, providing guests with quick and easy connections to the surrounding areas of Solna, Bromma and Kista. The property benefits from being within easy reach of Stockholm’s city centre where guests can enjoy an abundance of restaurants and cultural attractions.
*Story Hotel Studio Malmö (Malmö, Sweden): The third Story hotel joining JdV by Hyatt this year, Story Hotel Studio Malmö features 95 unique guestrooms, playfully and creatively designed to reflect the young and vibrant population of the city. This hotel features spectacular views overlooking the city and scenic water views and is part of the mixed-use STUDIO building, meaning guests have easy access to meeting facilities, corporate offices, retail outlets, several restaurants and a café. In addition, the hotel has its own restaurant and cocktail bar, Kasai in the Sky, popular with both guests and locals.
*Hyatt Centric Cambridge (Cambridge, England): This 150-room hotel will bring the Hyatt Centric brand to the United Kingdom and connect guests with the beautiful and historic city of Cambridge. Designed to fuel the adventurous lifestyle of its guests, Hyatt Centric Cambridge will provide bicycles to those who wish to explore all the city has to offer.
