Unique Lighting Concepts for Hotels from Astro
With around 100 new designs every year and the largest range of IP-44 rated bathroom lighting in Europe, Astro Lighting is an established choice for the hotel sector. Continual innovations are aimed at allowing interior designers to let their creative talents run free when it comes to designing the lighting scheme for hotel bedrooms and bathrooms.
Among the latest examples is Fuse – a versatile bedside reading light. Illumination is provided by a 3 watt warm-white LED with discreetly integrated driver and choice of three colour finishes: bronze, brushed aluminium and polished chrome. Fuse can be mounted horizontally or vertically, onto either masonry or stud walls and is not ‘handed‘so can work either side of the bed – providing high levels of versatility and minimising the chance of specification mistakes.
For the bathroom, Astro has developed a clever system for flexibly integrating mirror and lighting. A unique device enables one of twenty different IP-rated wall lights to be fitted directly to the surface of the mirror. This offers an elegant solution for designers who chose to fill the entire space above the wash basins with mirror, bringing the room to life and ensuring optimum task lighting where it is needed the most.
