J.T. Kalmar GmbH, originally a manufacturer of handcrafted products of cast bronze dating back to the 19th century, was set up in the 1880s. The company was then as it is today associated with outstanding architects and designers for its select line of lighting products.

By the guidance of the inspired son of the founder Julius Theodor Kalmar toward modern architecture, the company sought modernity by combining classical tradition and contemporary innovation using a variety of exquisite materials such as crystal, rosewood and cast bronze.

Today we specialize in designing and manufacturing high quality lamps and custom designed lighting installations. From project management for entire lighting packages to individually customized chandeliers we cater to the hospitality industry’s requirements for tailored lighting solutions.
