Having worked on a variety of exclusive hotel projects from around the world, KCA International is well versed in the wants and needs of its clients. The company strives to push the boundaries of design and encourage its clients to think outside the box and explore new ideas and solutions.
A designer in the 21st century needs to re-invent himself and create the unexpected and the element of surprise. There is no such thing as a “house style” anymore. Today, after more than 20 years in service, Khuan Chew continues to lead her team to greater heights – working on live projects from Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau to the Middle East in Morocco, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Aqaba and Europe – Istanbul, South of France, Lausanne and London.
Having been blessed with a strong repeat clientele, Khuan Chew continues with the backing of KCA International to work for these exclusive clients in the most exotic locations. But the greatest challenge these days is to convince our clients to ‘think different’ – not to follow but to lead. To be brave and explore new solutions, new ideas and new results. It is also equally important to offer a design that will last the test of time.
KCA International has always prided itself with the opportunities to ‘push the envelope’ but at the same time balance this approach with the experience of design longevity and designs that ‘age nicely’! KCA has been around for nearly a quarter of a century… and both its completed and current projects speak for themselves.
One may think that the current trends of glamour (its come back) and Asian ‘minimalism’ or ‘zen-ness’ do not quite work together. KCA like both styles and strives to give its clients a bit of both and solutions of unique environments which make them proud to own.
Its clients are all different… with different tastes and senses and the company enjoy their idiosyncrasies, diverse characteristics and abundance of ideas.
KCA will always be their ‘ears, eyes, and hands’ to provide the best solution only because KCA does, at the end of the day, have a proven record of the ability to design – in good taste – and in the interest of the client and what they stand for!
